We are looking to hire a dynamically skilled Bookkeeper to join the Cell Path Services team.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Job title:            Bookkeeper

Reports to:      The Director

Job Purpose 

The Bookkeeper position is an important role in the Cell Path Services office, where you'll manage daily financial transactions. You'll be responsible for but not limited to recording and maintaining the company's financial activities, such as purchases, expenses, invoices, payments and sales revenue. 

You’ll handle both accounts payable and receivable, as well as payroll and bank account management. We’re looking for someone with at least 5 years of bookkeeping experience and with proficiency in both QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Software. 

You will also collaborate closely with our auditors. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

The Duties and Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper include but are not limited to: 

• Intermediate accounting knowledge
• Understanding accounting best practices
• Update and maintain an accurate record of all financial transactions
• Account reconciling to assert the accuracy of transactions
• Monitor variances in the accounting system according to set budgets
• Sending out statements
• VAT Control
• Forex payment and submitting payments to the bank
• Forex documents to be send to Reserve Bank once finalised and shipping docs received
• Costing of landed cost of goods
• Filing of all individual imports
• Recording of Debits and Credits
• Debtors and Creditors
• Invoicing and delivery notes
• Ordering of stock
• Stock control
• Follow up on backorders
• Liaising with courier for POD’s
• Quotations for clients that we receive by email for consumables when necessary
• Filing of accounting documentation and important documentation
• Liaising with Auditor for payroll 

Qualifications 

The qualifications for this position include the knowledge of certain Computer Packages and Accounting Practices 

The qualifications and skills for the Bookkeeper position include: 

• Bookkeeping Diploma registered with ICB
• Bookkeeping experience – minimum of 5 years
• QuickBooks Software Accounting System
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Bookkeeping and Administration experience in a Medical Histology Laboratory setting would be advantageous
