Job Specification…
Content Development and Creativity:
- Provide well-written, researched, validated, clear, consistent business communications on a number of topics that span company announcements, meeting presentations, multimedia, key messages, talking points for distribution via the Intranet, email blasts, printed materials, presentations, HR social media and notice boards.
- Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as intranet, magazine, HR Social Media or regular email bulletin. You may also be required to work on the layout of content.
- Review and edit communications drafted by internal stakeholders and make recommendations to ensure messaging is consistent with internal strategy and tone.
- Compile internal company newsletters for distribution.
- Run internal specific communication campaigns.
- Generate awareness of relevant “Health Days” e.g. World Diabetes Day etc. as well as awareness of relevant religious holidays/ observance days, to support and promote inclusivity and diversity.
- Assist with Recruitment Department’s careers website, Facebook and LinkedIn presence.
- Communicate and coordinate internal events for communication purposes.
- Liaise with the relevant departments to continually develop Intranet as an effective internal communications tool and to ensure it meets the needs of its audience, user-friendly and accurate.
- Work closely with the Learning and Development Department to develop and deliver a proactive programme of engagement to staff regarding learning opportunities.
- Work closely with the Recruitment Department to develop and deliver content for recruitment activities.
- Develop methods to engage employees within the organisation.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- To help build a culture where two-way internal communication is seen as fundamental and integral to the success of the organisation and its staff, and where communication is seen as the business of every staff member.
- Oversee & maintain the Dis-Chem Internal Communications email address.
- Oversee & maintain the Dis-Chem Careers communications on social media.
- Gain thorough knowledge of the business’s strategy, as well as a deep understanding of each department and key teams.
- Participate actively in Special Projects as and when required.
Research, analysis and reporting
- Provide ongoing creative ideas to ensure company messaging is forward-looking and innovative.
- Seek out and analyse employee feedback mechanisms and interpret data to recommend best practices that fit the Dis-Chem culture.
- Continually evaluate the success of internal communications, working with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Attend company events in order to compile content for news report.
General:
- Housekeeping must be in accordance to Dis-Chem standards. Make sure that your work station is always clean and tidy.
