Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Higher Education, Educational Leadership, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in higher education, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Strong understanding of South African higher education policies, including CHE and DHET accreditation processes.
• Expertise in academic programme design, curriculum development, and quality assurance.
• Advanced project management and data analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement academic strategies aligned with institutional and national higher education goals.
• Oversee curriculum design, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry relevance.
• Manage the accreditation process for academic programmes, maintaining full regulatory compliance.
• Lead programme evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives, integrating feedback and data analytics.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive academic planning and delivery.
• Allocate and optimize resources, including staff and facilities, to support programme success.
• Drive innovation in teaching, learning, and assessment methods.
• Monitor compliance with governance policies and risk management protocols.
