- Sales Development & Lead Generation:
- Identify and target potential customers within the water treatment industry in Johannesburg and surrounding areas.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of sales opportunities, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
- Promote water treatment products, solutions, and services to meet clients’ needs.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
- Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions to address their water treatment needs.
- Provide regular updates to clients on product offerings and service improvements.
- Sales Presentations & Product Demonstrations:
- Conduct presentations and demonstrations of products and solutions to potential customers.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure accurate product specifications and provide technical support during the sales process.
- Sales Targets & Reporting:
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecast future sales, and track customer interactions using CRM tools.
- Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Customer Support & After-Sales Service:
- Assist with post-sale inquiries, troubleshooting, and customer support to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
Required Skills
- Sales Rep: 2 to 3 years
- Water Treatment Monitoring: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
- Education:
- A BSc degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Water Treatment, or a related field is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales within the water treatment or environmental services sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong technical knowledge of water treatment solutions, equipment, and processes.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to meet and exceed sales targets.
