Our company is seeking an well driven and well educated Plant Engineer to join our team in Burgersfort, Limpopo.

Job Purpose:

The Plant Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation and improvement of plant equipment and systems in a chrome plant environment. They will need to ensure that all equipment is running efficiently, safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal plant performance.
Carry out routine maintenance and inspections of equipment.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
Develop and implement improvement projects to increase plant efficiency and productivity.
Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required Skills

Leadership Abilities: 4 to 5 years
Plant Engineering Experience: 2 to 3 years
Experience In Hard Rock, Mechanised Underground Mining: 2 to 3 years
Chrome Plant Working Experience: 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements

Requirements:

National Diploma/B.Eng Degree/BTech Degree/NQF Level 6 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related fields.
Electrical or Mechanical GCC (Mines and Works) qualification.
2 Years Recognised Junior Engineering Program Training (Essential).
2 Years Operational experience in hard rock, mechanised underground mining (Essential).
Post Graduate Diploma (advantageous).
5-10 years of working experience in a chrome plant environment.
2-5 years of Plant Engineering experience within the Plant Industry (Post GCC).
Extensive knowledge of plant equipment and maintenance practices.
Familiarity with Mine Health and Safety Act and Mining Regulations.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order ro obtain such certificate.
