Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter and Turner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting and assembling parts to make mechanical systems, and for turning and shaping metal parts on manual or computer numerical control machine tools. The Fitter and Turner will work with a variety of materials, such as metal, plastic, and composite materials, to manufacture components and ensure the smooth operation of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and bend metal to assemble and fit mechanical parts
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Select appropriate tools and materials for each project
- Ensure that finished components meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain and repair machinery and equipment as needed
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and other team members to meet project deadlines

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Fitter and Turner or in a similar role
- Trade qualification in fitting and machining or a related field
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes
- Ability to operate manual and CNC machine tools
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Stand for long periods of time
- Work in various positions, including kneeling, bending, and stooping
