Are you a proactive and resourceful System Administrator looking for a challenging opportunity to ensure the seamless operation of cutting-edge IT infrastructure? Join an industry-leading Automotive Solutions company as a System Administrator based in Johannesburg. Experience in HyperV/Vmware, DNS management, and PowerShell Automation is non-negotiable. You’ll have the chance to work with the latest technologies, contribute to innovation, and ensure the reliability of mission-critical systems. As a System Administrator, you will maintain, configure, and ensure the reliable operation of computer systems and servers while collaborating with dynamic, interdisciplinary teams to drive efficiency and innovation.

Qualifications:

3-5+ years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
Proficiency in databases, LAN/WAN networks, and patch management.
Expertise in PowerShell CLI scripting and automation.
Hands-on experience with HyperV/Vmware and DNS management.
Familiarity with website hosting/CDN.

Requirements:

System administration certifications (Linux, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus.
Knowledge of system security, data backup/recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
Excellent communication skills and a resourceful problem-solving aptitude.
Preferred: MSCE, A+/N+/Security+, ITIL Foundations, Linux+/Red Hat, Azure, Office 365, VMWare, and IBM Power Administration.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Ensure the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
Perform backups, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Install and configure software, hardware, and networks.
Provide technical documentation and specifications.
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
Collaborate with teams to ensure the seamless operation of servers and networks.
