As Voxeon grows its impact and client base, we’re looking for a smart, driven individual to join us as our first hire focused exclusively on business development.
Reporting to the MD, we’re looking for an entrepreneurial, results-driven professional to help grow our client base and align our marketing strategy with business development goals. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic start-up environment. Your role will focus primarily on driving new business opportunities and client acquisition.

Candidate Requirements
You’ll spend time on the following:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand our client base in South Africa, rest of Africa and Europe.
- Developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives and proposals.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Collaborating with the MD to set and achieve growth targets.
- Providing strategic input on marketing efforts to align with business goals.
- Preparing reports on business development activities and outcomes.
- Staying ahead of market trends and competitor activities.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role (ideally in PR or marketing).
- A strong understanding of marketing strategies and how they support business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and self-starter mindset - you’ll have plenty of support but need to take initiative.
- Social media savvy, particularly with LinkedIn.
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with the unpredictability of a start-up.
