The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To maintain, service and repair mechanical components on machinery (with OEM specialisation) to ensure their availability for mining operations. The incumbent tasks a small group of technicians and the scope / portfolio of this role includes performing planned and preventative maintenance, and attending to breakdowns.
You will have the following:
• Must have a N4 Certificate
• Qualified Trade tested Deiseal Mechanic / Fitter
• Must have completed relevant safety and risk assessment training and courses
• Must have at least 6 years’ experience as a post qualified trade tested artisan in an underground mine
• Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French, Swahili, and Mandarin will be considered highly advantageous.

• Lead teams of specialists to maintain and repair TMM fleet
• Undertake planned maintenance and unplanned repairs on machinery, ensuring maximum availability for mining operations

• Support Transformation in terms of people, automation/ digitization and sustainability
• Integrate HSEQ into all work processes
