Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a Fitter and Turner to join their team. A Fitter and Turner is responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing mechanical components and machinery. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of industrial equipment in various sectors, including manufacturing, automotive, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machinery Maintenance and Repairs:

   • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
   • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and execute repairs promptly.

2. Fabrication and Assembly:

   • Manufacture, fit, and assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
   • Operate lathes, milling machines, and other precision tools.

3. Blueprint and Technical Drawings:

   • Interpret and work from engineering drawings to meet project specifications.
   • Measure, mark, and modify components with high accuracy.

4. Quality Assurance:

   • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
   • Identify and address any defects or inconsistencies.

5. Safety and Compliance:

   • Adhere to health and safety regulations in the workshop and on-site.
   • Maintain proper documentation for all machinery and repairs.

6. Collaboration and Reporting:

   • Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members.
   • Report on completed tasks and provide recommendations for improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Qualifications:

   • N3 Certificate or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
   • Trade Test Certificate: Fitter and Turner (red seal).

2. Experience:

   • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
   • Proven experience with precision tools and machinery.

3. Skills:

   • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings.
   • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
   • Excellent attention to detail and precision.
