Planning
- Drive the successful implantation of company-specific processes, supporting the creation of an aligned culture and team vision.
- Establish HR department and associated in-house systems.
- Manage employee files, operations, and other procedures, as necessary.
- People planning, based on the needs of the company liaise with various HOD’s to establish requirements, create JD’s, identify KPI’s.
- Develops and streamlines company policies and procedures.
- Handle internal inquiries, complaints, injuries, and employee compensation.
- Responsible for department recruitment plans; induction and onboarding and exiting.
- Draft salary scale suggestion and have acknowledge of industry salary information.
- Administrative support on Payroll.
- Manage performance appraisal process (planning, execution, and tracking). Develop staff general performance plan and regularly evaluation plan.
- L&D (Learning and Development) planning, execution, and tracking.
- Employee Relations function (SA Labour legislation knowledge essential & experience in managing disciplinary procedures).
- Responsible for labour relations management and formulating career development plans.
- Develop and promote corporate culture as well as employee relations.
- Take minutes and keep a record of the minutes in the meeting.
- Performance of confidentiality agreement.
- Coordination office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in HR or equivalent (NQF8)
- 3 – 5 years’ experience as HR Generalist
- 3 – 5 years’ experience with an industrial (unionized) environment
- Knowledge of H&S regulations with a South African context
- Own vehicle & valid driver’s license
- Strong employee relations focus
- Experience in strategic planning (senior team)
- Experience at operational level
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proficient in English & isiZulu advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office
- High attention to detail
