- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all engineering requirements on designated vessels.
- Manage internal workshops- and contractor's performance on designated vessels.
- Ensure all day to day and planned maintenance are up to date.
- Manage designated vessel drydocking.
- Identify and ensure critical spares in stock.
- Identify and manage approved upgrades and cost saving initiatives.
- Compile and adhere to vessel budgets.
- B-Tech, National Higher Diploma(T4) Mech Eng. or similar
- 10-15 years qualification applicable ship repair experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be physically fit and of sober habits.
- Must be prepared to work overtime as required.
- Must be a team player with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Viking Fishing will require contactable references.
