- Lead, manage and develop the Inventory team
- Ensure compliance to inventory management policies, strategy, processes and guidelines, taking into account user needs

- Delegate workflow and manage the team’s operational activities. Plan, organise, lead and control activities carried out at stores
- Manage the inventory team to ensure accurate and efficient receiving/receipting and issuing of stock; ensuring strong customer support in terms of timing and product availability
- Manage and control Inventory levels to ensure unsatisfied stores requisitions and services are kept to a minimum. This involves actively tracking and reporting on progress to all affected stakeholders
- Support the embedding of best practices, minimum standards, policies, processes, tools, technology and enablers
- Manage inventory KPIs, in collaboration with operational teams and customers at site
- Assists in embedding standardised Inventory management policies, strategy, processes and
- guidelines, considering customer requirements
- Identify and flag slow moving items (for potential obsolescence) and escalate to the the company’s Supply Chain Manager for review and action
- Replenish stock through system generated re-order prompts, ensuring that stock is ordered and replenished at acceptable levels, based on available data and analysis
- Recommend Master Data amendments to the Supply Chain Manager with respect to the appropriate classification of stock into the applicable category based on data analysis and stakeholder engagement (i.e. movement and type)
- Run daily stock issue reports to ensure month-end deadlines for On-site vendor stock and month-end cut off are adhered to together with the capturing of applicable documentation (where applicable)
- Implement and oversee effective and efficient service delivery and resolution of issues affecting delivery or supply constraints
- Oversee Receiving team in managing receipts of the materials received, including ensuring the team uses appropriate PPE during activities
- Oversee the planning of receiving loads and required staff, machinery (i.e., forklift, etc.) for offload etc.
- Ensure streamlined receiving processes are utilised according to guidelines
- Ensure related engagement takes place with suppliers for all defective goods and goods over/under received
- Support the business to finalise receipting process for payment by creditors – query resolution, GRN, Credit/exchanges, etc
- Oversee Issuing team in regard to the binning of materials received from Receiving team
- Manage and control issuing and related documentation, stores requisitions, GRNs.
- Efficient process to issue stock/orders to employees
- Ensure all issues and return notes are captured into the ERP (SAGE) system on a daily basis to update stock records and archive accordingly
- Promote and adhere to procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)
- Ensure compliance to the FCFQ is achieved through rigorous engagement with group and internal audit (this includes maintaining relevance to current systems, policies & procedures)

Candidate Requirements
- Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification
- 3+ years Procurement / Purchasing / Supply
- Chain management experience advantageous
- Demonstrated understanding of stores

- Demonstrable track record in managing team
