We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and service orientated person to lead our dynamic team, in both the front and back of house. You must have strong leadership qualities, excellent people skills, a financial aptitude and be able to handle pressure. First hand knowledge and experience of food preparation and presentation is a must.
Daily duties include, but are not limited to:
Checking IN and OUT of guests
Serving beverages to guests during the day
Preparing Guests accounts, handling payments and completion of balance statements
Baking bread for Breakfast at 06:30
Checking outlay of Breakfast Buffet and Dinner tables
Hosting and serving during Breakfast ans Dinner
Check standard of plates of food before serving at Breakfast and Dinner.
Assisting in cooking of food for Dinner (ex. Planning the menu, grilling the meat on an open fire during dinner)
Inspecting guest rooms after cleaning and Public areas
Hosting and Serving during Dinner
Managing store-room and stock procedures
Daily reports to owner
Staff management and performance appraisals
Checking and balancing Honesty Bar and Mini Bars in rooms
Inventory control
Ordering of consumables and household products
Handling booking requests
Admin duties
Required Skills
- Managing Staff: 1 to 2 years
- Cash Flows: 1 year or less
- Reservation Management: 1 year or less
- Ordering Supplies: 1 to 2 years

Candidate Requirements
Experience within the Hospitality Industry is essential
Qualification in Hospitality/Tourism Management and/or Food preparation (Diploma/ Certificate)
Computer Literate: Nightsbridge, Excel, Word, Booking.com Extranet, Expedia Extranet etc.
Fluent in English (writing, reading, speaking) and Afrikaans will be an advantage
South African Nationality

Experience in food preparation and serving
Own reliable transport
Shift work (including weekends and public holidays as per industry standards) No work on Christmas
Willing to work overtime when needed
