Duties:

Ensure all construction operations are carried in an appropriate, cost-effective way
Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
Purchase materials
Oversee sub-contractors
Oversee estate security
Oversee maintenance team and preventative maintenance
Oversee Landscapers
Oversee civil and road construction and maintenance
Request and check quotations
Plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
Formulate strategic and operational objectives
Manage budgets and forecasts
Draw up SLR’sRecruit, train and supervise staff

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Business, Operations Management or Construction Management
Proven work experience as on Operations Manager, preferably in construction
Must have construction oversight experience
Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
Experience with budgeting and forecasting
Familiarity with business and financial principles
Must be fully computer literate and proficient in Excel
Excellent communication skills
Leadership ability
Outstanding organisational skills
