We are looking to appoint an Enrolled Nurse to coordinate, supervise and ensure quality HCT is performed by outreach workers as required by DOH and Anova’s program. To provide technical and health system strengthening support that will initiate or enhance the roll-out of various services within a Programme and ensure quality controls for HTS.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Services
- Perform PICT for Anova clients and/or their partners; and give appropriate referral.
- Ensure quality test results are issued to clients.
- Screen clients for STIs and TB, refer for provision of symptomatic management.
- Provide, promote and demonstrate correct and consistent use of condoms.
- Ensure clients are linked to competent facilities.
- Age-appropriate HIV risk reduction counselling.
- Perform any other duties that will contribute to the efficient running of the programme as may be assigned by management.
- Identify potential risks and their management.
- Adhere to infection control standards and coordinate waste management with sharp containers to clinics
- Coordinate and supervise outreach workers with HCT.
- Support the implementation of 90-90-90 strategies as per DOH protocols.
- Supervise and perform monitoring activities including updating of registers and collection of statistics, validating of data and report writing.
- Provide in-service training to subordinates on clinical topics.
- Ensure ethics – confidentiality, dignity, are considered at all times.
- Linkage follows ups.
- Mentoring of the teams in counselling and testing
- Capturing of forms from outreach teams.
- Capture and submit linkage spreadsheet and cohort reporting.
- Ensure adequate stock is available.
- Ensure timeous requisition of supplies.
- Complete, compile and submit relevant data forms.
- Audit client forms to ensure correct stationary is used and completed in correct order.
- Maintain the storage and test kits.
- Arrange ordering of test kits.
- Perform and coordinate weekly QIC.
- Arrange and coordinate the proficiency testing for the teams.
- Capturing of forms from outreach teams.
- Capture and submit linkage spreadsheet and cohort reporting.
- Ensure adequate stock is available.
- Ensure timeous requisition of supplies.
- Complete, compile and submit relevant data forms.
- Audit client forms to ensure correct stationary is used and completed in correct order.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
- Matric
- Enrolled Nursing certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Valid registration with South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Minimum of two years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years’ experience in clinical HIV/Aids and TB related work.
- 2 years’ experience in a primary health care setting.
- Previous experience in a surgical environment and counselling skills (an advantage).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy especially electronic mail, and or willingness to learn.
- Basic organizational and administrative skill.
- Empathy and understanding of issues of people living with HIV/AIDS.
- Friendly and able to engage people.
