Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and driven Liquor Sales Representative to ensure effective merchandising, build strong customer relationships, and drive sales growth across liquor stores, shebeens, and restaurants. You will play a critical role in maximizing product visibility, identifying market opportunities, and achieving sales targets through strategic planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Route Planning & Call Coverage

Maintain and execute consistent call cycles for designated outlets, including liquor stores, shebeens, and restaurants.

Optimize call schedules to ensure maximum area coverage within designated timeframes.

Relationship Management
-
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with store managers and staff to ensure excellent customer service.

Act as a trusted advisor for clients, providing insights and recommendations tailored to their needs.

Product Availability & Merchandising
-
Ensure all prescribed SKUs are consistently stocked and well-displayed in outlets.

Identify gaps in product categories and create solutions to increase shelf presence for both new and existing products.

Proactively address and resolve out-of-stock issues.

Innovation & Visibility
-
Accelerate the introduction of new products (SKUs) to market by ensuring swift placement in stores.

Enhance product visibility through strategic placement and promotional activities.

Pricing & Compliance
-
Conduct regular pricing audits to maintain uniformity across outlets.

Identify pricing inconsistencies and escalate issues for resolution.

Point-of-Sale (POS) Implementation
-
Install and maintain POS materials according to company and client guidelines.

Ensure POS materials are strategically positioned for maximum consumer engagement.

Brand Activation & Promotions

Conduct brand activations and in-store promotions to boost consumer engagement and awareness in both On and off con establishments to maintain the desired rate of sale and grow brand awareness.

Coordinate events and activations as needed to drive brand visibility and sales.

Order & Inventory Management
-
Assist outlets with placing and following up on orders to ensure timely delivery.

Resolve order-related queries efficiently and maintain strong communication with supply chains.

Sales Performance & Target Achievement

Understand sales targets and break them down into achievable goals with detailed plans.

Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities to increase distribution and upsell products.

Leverage an entrepreneurial mindset to identify and act on new sales opportunities.

Market Insights & Reporting

Regularly collect and analyze market data, including competitor activities and emerging trends.
-
Provide actionable feedback and insights to improve sales strategies and inform decision-making.

Complete detailed reports on performance metrics and key activities.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
- Essential: Matric Certificate and valid Driver’s License.
- Advantageous: Sales Certificate/Qualification and experience in the liquor industry.
Experience:
- Strong sales experience with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets.
- Retail and merchandising experience in FMCG or liquor industries.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to use reporting tools and systems efficiently.
