CHAIRLIFT OPERATOR X4 (Grading B5)

Job specification

• Grade 11 or equivalent
• Personnel Chairlift Modules or training will be advantageous
• Must have a Fitter Aide Certificate
• A Chairlift Operator License will be advantageous
• 1-3 years’ experience as a Chairlift Operator within a mining or industrialized environment will be advantageous
• Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
• Applicant must possess written and verbal communication skills
• Be able to work shifts
• Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record

 Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee chairlift equipment
• Ensure that employees use the chairlift safely and effectively to enter and leave the level/sub incline or shaft
• Conduct regular inspections and report any maintenance issues
• Practice and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto : “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”
