My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Tax Specialist to join their team on a 3 to 4 month contract. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of tax processes who is looking to build a career in the tax space.

Key Responsibilities:
The Junior Tax Specialist will play a key role in supporting the company’s tax team by:

Preparing and reviewing tax computations for individuals, trusts, and companies.
Liaising with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) to resolve client queries and issues.
Preparing and submitting VAT returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Providing clients with professional tax advice to optimize tax efficiency and compliance.
Preparing and filing income tax returns accurately and within deadlines.
Assisting with tax audits and preparing relevant documentation.

The successful candidate will possess:

A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations (internship or academic exposure advantageous).
Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and SARS.
A proactive and organized approach to work.
