A Transport company within the Agricultural sector in Centurion has a vacancy for a Logistics Co-ordinator.

The successful Candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

Schedule trucks according to Customer needs.

Determine best routes and rates.

Booking and following orders with Clients - mining Clients for extra cargo.

Assist and maintain orders from Transporters.

Identify reputable Transporters with a view to them becoming dedicated Suppliers.

Track status of loads.

Collaborate with Suppliers and Transporters to manage scheduled collections and deliveries.

Accurate record keeping of deliveries.

Update Clients of the status of the deliveries.

Broker experience (arranging transport for the company, arranging products for the company, arranging both for the company).

Develop and grow the business unit accourding to budgets and targets.

Collecting and compiling tracking.

Liaise with external role players.

Registering Transporters and ensuring GIT insurance is in place.

Follow up on trucks to determine accurate ETA.

Vehicle tracking and monitoring.

Oversee the full logistics function for all local and provincial transportation.

Schedule trucks and drivers per requirement.

Generate new business.
