Job & Company Description:
 
This world renowned company based in the Northern suburbs is looking for  a Delivery Manager with at least 8 years technical project management or solution delivery experience to join them on a 6 months contract basis. The incumbent that will fill this role will deliver complex solutions with multi-disciplinary teams to internal or external stakeholders that unlock business value.



The key responsibilities for this role will include:

• A strong delivery focus, coupled with the ability to manage timeliness
• Identify and mitigate risks
• Proactively manage and track issues and dependencies, while interfacing with multiple internal and/or external teams 
• Extract required outcomes to ensure overall delivery
• Balance tactical and strategic orientation
• Promotes Client / Product Involvement
• Enforces Effective Change Control
• Proactively manages project commercials driving optimized delivery costs & resource planning

 
 
As you will be required to hit the ground running extensive experience is essential.
 

The requirements:
 
 
Qualification:

• Completed Degree in Technology or Management (BSc/B Tech) or equivalent.

 
Experience:
 

• 8+ years’ experience in multi-functional Project Management or Solution Delivery
• Experience in solution architecture or system integration will be advantageous
• 4+ years ‘ consulting experience within delivery teams onsite within client environments
• Understanding of full SDLC lifecycles
• Understanding of multiple project methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban and hybrid models
• High EQ and ability to lead and manage cross functional teams
• Previous experience designing solutions with technical and business resources and ensuring alignment between technical capabilities, business objectives and usability of solutions

 
 
 Skills Required:

• An enthusiastic, positive and proactive attitude.
• Strong boardroom presence with experience in managing difficult stakeholders
• A strong commercial acumen in the context of managing profitable project delivery & ensuring that commercial alignment to project objectives are aligned
• Mature and able to multitask.
• Confident and extrovert individual with ability to work and problem solve on own without close supervision, or as a group member and team player.
