Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience within mining (MHSA environment).
• Languages: Fluent in English and/or Afrikaans.
• Driver's Licence: Valid and up-to-date.
• Availability: Willing to work weekends and overtime when required.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams effectively and maintain high performance standards.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills to address unexpected on-site challenges.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to liaise with internal teams, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Equipment Expertise: Experience with heavy construction equipment and machinery.
• Preferred Certifications: Relevant safety qualifications (e.g., First Aid, Safety Supervisor) are an advantage.

 
Your Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all site activities, including construction operations, logistics, workforce coordination, and safety compliance.
• Ensure the project is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with local regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Develop and implement site plans, schedules, and workflows to maximize productivity and minimize delays.
• Provide leadership to site supervisors, foremen, and personnel to meet project goals.
• Manage resources effectively, including labour, equipment, and materials, ensuring proper allocation.
• Conduct regular safety audits, enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote safe work practices.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor project progress, troubleshoot on-site challenges, and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain high-quality standards by addressing any deficiencies and ensuring all work meets project specifications.
• Document work progress, safety compliance, and incident reports while fostering teamwork and a positive on-site culture.
