CONTENT CREATOR 

(NON-PERMANENT, TWO-YEAR CONTRACT)

BASIC SALARY: R551 879 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: SS 60/24 ● CIVIC CENTRE

Requirements:   

• Diploma or first degree in Media, Journalism, Film, Marketing, Communications or Public Relations
• Minimum five (5) years’ relevant experience 
• Computer literacy
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Proven experience in developing clear and engaging content
• Valid Code B driver’s licence 
• Willingness to work outside of normal hours
• Willingness to travel to various locations for work purposes
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines within specified timeframes
• Experience within the film industry would be advantageous. 

Key performance areas:  

• Plan, support and implement the delivery of quality, professional programmes and services in line with the City’s Integrated Development Plan, the directorate’s strategic objectives, relevant national, provincial policies and legislation with a view to meeting relevant goals and objectives of the City’s Film Strategy
• Develop clear and engaging content suitable for various platforms
• Create content for film websites, newsletters, blogs, marketing materials, and related platforms
• Lead the development of videos, infographics and articles for film
• Contribute to the development of communication and marketing strategies and campaigns film, targeting specific audiences
• Conduct research and investigations to obtain information to develop appropriate content and campaigns for City supported film projects
• Lead, develop and implement monitoring systems on all the department’s digital platforms, including social media accounts and websites
• Facilitate interventions to enhance Cape Town’s position as an international Film City
• Compile quarterly and annual review reports on the Department’s media and marketing activities
• Ensure responses to complaints within specified timeframes
• • Contribute to the departmental business plan, IDP submissions and annual report submission.
