SPATIAL PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT: DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT
CHIEF PLANS EXAMINER
TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1,005,233 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: SPE 61/24 ● VARIOUS POSSIBLE AREAS
Requirements:
- A relevant three-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma) in any built environment discipline
- A minimum of five (5) years’ appropriate experience with three (3) years technical supervisory experience at an appropriate level
- Knowledge and implementation of the National Building Regulations and the South African National Standards requirements
- Computer literacy: MS Office
- Code B/EB driver's licence.
Key performance areas:
- Manage the processing of building development applications
- Ensure that building development applications comply with all National Building Regulations and Standards as well as all applicable legislation and the approved tariff structure
- Liaise with external and internal parties regarding building development applications
- Supervise subordinate staff regarding the technical requirements of building plan submissions
- Administer and coordinate the building development assessment process.
