Education and Knowledge:

• BSc / BTech in Construction Management / NDip in Building with Project Management qualification (advantage)
• Professional Registration with SACPCMP
• Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office, CCS/Built Smart and MS Projects
• Able to manage contractual issues and experienced in JBCC, NEC and GCC forms of contract
• Strong construction and project management knowledge.
• Experienced in problem solving and dealing with complex issues
• Driver’s license Code B or C

Technical Competencies:

• Competence and knowledge in the construction and supervision of Restoration of old buildings, General refurbishments and New Building Structures (Commercial, Retail, Residential etc.)
• Competence in Construction Management skills, motivated, has strong leadership, able to encourage subordinates and other work groups to work as a team.
• Knowledge of civil and structural codes and other associated codes used in the project, excellent technical background and skills in industrial environment.
• Understanding of other disciplines like Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection & Communication from site activities point of view.
• Experience with project management practices and tools to create, manage, and track project performance, cost, verify scope, etc.       
• Can work with less supervision and even under extreme pressure.
• Must be able to manage a team and Sub-Contractors.
• Possess negotiation and influence skills, innovative, creative thinker, flexible and excellent organizer.
• Good Leaderships Skills.

Experience:

• 8 – 10 years relevant experience in Building Construction Site Management with contactable references that Individual reported to, HR Department and/or Senior Management.
• Experience in Restoration of old Historic Buildings and Buildings in large multi-disciplined construction projects.

Required Product Knowledge:

• Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) MS Project, CCS and Candy.
• Experience creating work breakdown structure (WBS) - translate requirements into tasks.
• Experience with task scheduling and resource assignment.

Working Conditions:

• Work on-site in various weather conditions
• Frequent travel to project locations may be required
• Collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders
