A technology company in Johannesburg is seeking a Junior Electronic Engineer.

We design and develop cutting-edge electronic systems for a variety of industries and are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Electronic Engineer to join our dynamic team.

As a Junior Electronic Engineer, you will work alongside senior engineers to design, develop, and test electronic circuits and systems. You will be responsible for supporting the design and debugging of electronic systems, ensuring the performance and quality of our products. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of electronic circuits and systems.
Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electronics to ensure functionality and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and objectives.
Help with PCB layout design, schematic capture, and circuit simulation.
Support senior engineers in the preparation of technical documentation.
Perform component sourcing and manage project inventory.
Follow industry standards and best practices in all engineering processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of electronics principles, including analog and digital circuits.
Familiarity with PCB design, soldering, and testing tools.
Experience with simulation software (e.g., LTspice, Altium Designer) is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A willingness to learn and grow within the field of electronics engineering.

Desirable Skills:

Basic knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
Experience in C/C++ programming or scripting languages is a plus.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electronics.
