A logistics and transportation company is looking to hire a versatile Operations Manager to oversee fleet operations and provide warehouse support. The role involves managing a fleet of CODE 14 tautliner vehicles, optimizing routes and fuel usage, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and maintaining high service levels. Additionally, the Operations Manager will assist in warehouse activities, including managing delivery documents, providing ETAs, reporting damages, and coordinating preplanned routes and deliveries. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and flexibility to handle diverse responsibilities and work hours.

Minimum Requirements
Proven experience in fleet management and warehouse operations
Familiarity with CODE 14 tautliner vehicles and trailers
Strong organizational and planning skills for load, route, and fuel optimization
Excellent problem-solving and administrative skills
Ability to manage staff effectively and maintain discipline
Proficient in handling service schedules, compliance, and legal requirements
Competence in managing Drive-Cam and tracking systems
Strong communication skills for customer updates and issue resolution
Deadline-driven with a willingness to work long hours, including weekends, when required

Duties and Responsibilities
Fleet Management
Manage assets and staff to meet budget objectives
Maximize vehicle utilization, including planning of loads, routes, fuel, and overnight locations
Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements
Investigate accidents/incidents and submit documentation
Schedule and ensure servicing of equipment/machinery and update COF plans
Maintain high discipline levels and ensure staff provide exceptional customer service
Handle administrative tasks and document control
Solve operational queries and issues
Prepare and submit leave schedules without impacting customer needs
Generate and submit monthly management reports
Assist with breakdowns when necessary
Warehouse Support
Assist in providing and collecting documents during customer load and offload operations
Provide ETAs for collections or deliveries involving the warehouse
Record and report damages received on delivery vehicles
Update customers on collection statuses from their clients
Plan and organize routes and deliveries in advance
