Are you an experienced Senior Accountant with a passion for investment finance?

This role is based in Parktown North, Johannesburg North.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Oversight:
- Manage and oversee the Finance Team, ensuring accurate and timely execution of financial tasks.
- Act as a mentor and provide guidance to enhance team performance.
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Perform detailed reconciliations of the balance sheet, monthly.
- Process advanced and complex journal entries.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive financial records to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct analytical reviews and provide valuable insights to senior management.
Compliance & Audits:
- Manage year-end audits, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Expertise:
- Assist in drafting annual financial statements using Draftworx.
- Support group consolidations, especially for entities with foreign subsidiaries.
- Handle foreign currency transactions with accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with a strong track record in leadership.
Deep knowledge of South African financial laws and regulations.
Proficiency in IFRS and a thorough understanding of group structures and consolidations.
Experience with foreign subsidiaries and multi-currency transactions.
Expertise in Sage 300; knowledge of SAP or Oracle NetSuite is advantageous.
