Position: Accountant

Location: Randburg

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and performing various accounting tasks to support the financial health of our company. The Accountant will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
- Prepare and review budgets and financial forecasts
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax laws
- Monitor and track financial performance against financial goals and benchmarks
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations is a plus
