Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Lodge Manager to join their team at their prestigious 5-star game lodge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Lodge Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and a passion for hospitality and wildlife conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the daily operations of the lodge, including guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance.
2. Supervise and lead lodge staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
3. Coordinate guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
4. Oversee housekeeping and maintenance departments to maintain the lodge’s cleanliness, safety, and upkeep.
5. Monitor and manage inventory, including food, beverages, and lodge supplies.
6. Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns in a professional and efficient manner.
7. Ensure the lodge complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
8. Assist in coordinating guest activities, including game drives, bush walks, and dining experiences.
9. Manage and implement staff training and development programs to ensure excellent service standards.
10. Help manage budgets and financial reports, ensuring cost control and adherence to lodge policies.
11. Assist with marketing and promotional activities to drive lodge occupancy and bookings.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Matric or equivalent; Hospitality Management or related qualification is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a luxury hospitality or lodge environment.
