Hire Resolve is seeking a Design Engineer for a client to join either their Pretoria (PTA) or Johannesburg (JHB) office.

We are looking for skilled Substation and OHL (Overhead Line) Design Engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop primary and secondary plant layouts for substations
• Conduct detailed engineering studies and analyses for substation and overhead line design
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all design work
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for project proposals and implementation
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet client requirements and deadlines
• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of designs

Requirements:

• Pr Eng Electrical Degree or similar qualification
• Proven experience in substation design (Primary Plant, Secondary or Control Plant) and OHL line design
• Eskom-related work experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of electrical design software and tools
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Salary: Market-related
