Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join their Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cash offices, preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining the Fixed Asset Module within SAGE, submitting VAT returns, and overseeing various aspects of secondary stock. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a strong understanding of accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Handle monthly VAT calculations and submissions.
3. Assist in preparing yearly audit files and supporting documentation.
4. Support the yearly budgeting process.
5. Assist FM, CFO, and CEO with various requests, projects, and responsibilities.
6. Manage 1 debtor and 1 creditor account, including reconciliations, relationship management, invoicing, and financial analysis.
7. Oversee cash ups, reconciliations, floats, and resolve issues for all cash offices.
8. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (additions, disposals, depreciation, P&L calculations, scrapings, etc.).
9. Maintain accounting records for hire purchases (amortisation schedules, additions, disposals, supporting documentation).
10. Post monthly journals for accruals, provisions, cut-off entries, interest calculations, assets, and WIP.
11. Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
12. Contribute to the preparation of yearly financial statements.
13. Prepare weekly and monthly financial analysis.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Matric & Accounting Degree/Diploma.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an Accountant or similar role.
