Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day technical operations and maintenance of all hospital medical equipment, facilities, and associated systems.
- Lead a team of technicians, ensuring efficient maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical devices and hospital infrastructure.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines for all medical equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely repair and service of critical equipment.
- Oversee the installation, calibration, and validation of new equipment, ensuring it meets the hospital’s operational needs.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff using complex medical technologies.
- Monitor the performance of hospital systems and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and asset management.
- Budget management for technical services, including cost control and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as clinical teams and hospital management, to ensure the smooth running of operations.
- Provide training and support to hospital staff on the safe use of medical equipment and systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical service or maintenance role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team of technical professionals.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment, hospital systems, and biomedical technology.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and healthcare compliance (e.g., ISO, FDA, CE).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with hospital staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using equipment management software and tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
