Job Description

The Technician will be responsible for the performance of required installations and maintenance activities on Reef operational sites effectively, efficiently, and safely. Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:

Performance of planned & unplanned maintenance and installation activities as directed;
Planning, communicating, and reporting on maintenance and installation activities within the area;
Assisting with and performance of identified project activities as directed;
Compliance with required Safety systems and protocols within APSAP and customer sites.

Minimum Requirements

A Matric certificate with Maths and Science or N3 qualification with technical subjects;
Must be a Red Seal Trade-Tested Artisan (preferably a Millwright or Fitter);
Have a proven record of Apprenticeship;
Advantages to being a registered accredited SACGA gas installer;
A valid unendorsed code 08 driver’s license;
A minimum of 3 – 5 years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance work experience in an engineering environment in the Industrial or Chemical Industry;
Cryogenic gas experience would be advantageous;
Must have good verbal and written communication skills;
Must be computer literate and proficient in the MS Office Suite;
Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as and when required;
Must be willing to be on standby on weekends and public holidays;
Must be willing to travel extensively as and when required;
Medically fit to work at heights.
