ENVIRONMENT:

A dynamic Energy Company seeks a highly experienced MI Controller to be responsible for monitoring financial performance, highlighting trends across key performance indicators and producing ongoing periodic reporting for 1 or various businesses. You will also drive detailed business and cost controlling analysis, actively support new business while assist in financial planning activities such as forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning. The successful incumbent must be a qualified Accountant or possess a suitable Finance/Economics Degree with 5 years work experience in a similar role. You must have profound & relevant FP&A and controlling experience in a multinational group and ERP system and planning application knowledge. Please note this is a 6-Month Contract position.

DUTIES:

• Preparation of regular management information (internal reporting).
• Drive detailed business and cost controlling analysis.
• Compare and provide variance analysis between actuals and plan numbers.
• Challenge operating units with regard to financial analysis and comparisons.
• Improve and drive financial performance (e.g. internal/external benchmarking, etc.).
• Follow-ups on financial performance improvement measures/business transactions.
• Cooperate with management and operating units to ensure understanding of dynamics of business-related financial implications.
• Actively support new business activities.
• Collaborate closely with group reporting teams in respect to month end closings processes.
• Assist in financial planning activities such as forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning.
• Ensure proper documentation of related forecasts, budgets and strategic plans.
• Further improve, automate and optimize system and reporting aspects as well as planning processes.

Key challenges –

• Manage large quantity of data and multiple sources of management information.
• Working under tight deadlines and within short reporting and analysis cycle.
• Extensive stakeholder management and virtual interface with local and central teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Finance Degree, Economics Degree or qualified Accountant with at least 5 years’ experience in similar position.
• Profound and relevant FP&A and controlling experience in a multinational group.
• Profound and relevant ERP system and planning application knowledge.
• Solid finance, accounting and reporting knowledge.
• Willingness to travel.
• Fluent in English (French would be a clear advantage).
