Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Education: Matric with 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Supplier Management: Skilled in building strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Procurement Expertise: Proven track record in aligning purchasing decisions with demand and inventory levels.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with international trade and procurement regulations.
• Communication: Strong ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams for seamless procurement processes.
• Customs Compliance: Experience in managing customs clearance for international shipments.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Problem-Solving: Aptitude for resolving procurement issues, including customs delays and quality concerns.

Proficiency:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Syspro is a plus.
• Attention to detail, adaptability, and dedication to teamwork.

• Generate and finalize POs based on inventory needs.
• Maintain accurate records, manage changes, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate logistics and verify goods upon receipt.
• Organize cost-effective and timely freight solutions.
• Oversee customs clearance and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain safety stock levels and manage inventory transfers.
• Build and nurture supplier relationships; ensure timely follow-ups.
• Negotiate favorable pricing and manage updates in procurement systems.
