EHS Management:
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs aligned with industry best practices, stakeholder expectations, management directives and policy and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and standards.
Conduct regular EHS audits and reviews to identify potential hazards and compliance gaps.
Develop and implement corrective action processes to address identified issues.
Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS legislation and stakeholder expectations.
Remain current on evolving EHS regulations and industry standards.
Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and oversee the process for acquiring permits where required.
Represent the division in regulatory department interactions.
Oversee the investigation of EHS incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
Analyse incident data to identify trends and implement preventive measures.
Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and submission of incident reports.
Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels.
Promote a strong safety culture through regular communication and engagement.
Encourage employee involvement in EHS initiatives.
Operational Risk Management:
Fire Risk Management, Security Risk Management, Property, Plant and Equipment Risk Management, Business Continuity Management
Identify, assess, and prioritize operational risks across various operational functions, including process and systems risks, people risk, external risks, and technology risks.
Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize the impact of potential risks.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls and make necessary adjustments.
Ensure compliance with, the MRG Operational Risk Management Framework and Guidelines, relevant regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Prepare regular reports on operational risk exposures, key risk indicators, property recommendations and risk management activities.
Communicate effectively with senior management, operations, and other stakeholders on risk issues and mitigation strategies.
Present clear and concise risk reports to senior management and other relevant forums.
Develop and maintain a robust operational risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and standards, in line with the MRG Operational Risk Management Framework and stakeholder expectations.
Ensure the framework is aligned with the organization's overall risk appetite and tolerance.
Oversee the investigation, analysis, and reporting of operational incidents and losses.
Implement lessons learned from incidents to prevent future occurrences.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of business continuity management system, processes and plans to ensure operational resilience.
Conduct regular testing and exercises to validate the effectiveness of business continuity plans.
Quality Of Product and Service Delivery Assurance:
Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure products and services meet specified standards.
Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
Monitor and analyse quality metrics to track performance and identify trends.
Establish and maintain quality control procedures and standards.
Oversee quality control activities to ensure products and services meet customer requirements.
Oversee the implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify opportunities for process optimisation and cost reduction.
Drive a culture of quality and excellence throughout the division.
Evaluate and approve suppliers based on quality performance.
Monitor supplier performance and address quality issues promptly.
Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations.
Manage and maintain quality management system documentation.
Provide guidance and support to management.
