We have a client with an amazing opportunity based in East London, Eastern Cape.

Role: Design Engineer: Roads

Industry: Engineering Consultancy (Roads and Highways)

Level: Senior Engineer

Key Requirements:

• Qualifications: BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering, with ECSA professional registration.

• Experience:

·        Minimum of 10 years’ post-degree experience in roads design.

·        Proven experience working on SANRAL projects.

·        5 to 10 years of design and project management experience on major road projects.

Skills & Knowledge:

·        Expertise in geometric design, road drainage, and traffic accommodation.

·        Strong understanding of road marking, signage design, and construction processes.

·        Experience with CAD software and coordinating design teams.

·        Ability to produce design reports, tender documents, and technical papers.

·        Solid understanding of roadworks and drainage specifications.

·        Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and liaising with pavement and bridge designers.

•           Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel) and a valid driver’s license with own transport.
