We have a client with an amazing opportunity based in Cape Town, Western Cape.

Role: Candidate Bridge Engineer

Industry: Infrastructure and Engineering Consultancy

Level: Junior Engineer

Key Requirements:

•           Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering (Postgraduate studies in structural and/or bridge engineering will be a benefit).

•           Experience: 1-4 years’ experience (including relevant site experience).

Experience in bridge design or inspection of bridges and culverts will be beneficial.

Skills & Knowledge:

•           Familiarity with bridge design codes and international bridge regulations (e.g., AASHTO, AREMA).

•           Proficiency in structural design software such as Midas, Sofistik, RM Bridge, or CSi Bridge (preferred).

•           Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, and CADS RC (preferred).

•           Experience with designing new bridges, culverts, and road/rail structures in accordance with TMH7 and other relevant codes.

•           Experience in rehabilitation and upgrading design of existing bridges and drainage structures is an advantage.
