Candidate Requirements
Management and coordination of the operational and strategic activities of the Gauteng Breeder Farms ;
The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
• Managing the strict bio-security protocols;
• Ensuring staff discipline is maintained in an effective manner;
• Managing and controlling running expenses;
• Ensuring that current policies and procedures are maintained;
• Managing and control of health and safety requirements;
• Ensure that the farms comply with all legislation and risk control policies;
• Maintaining the 20 Keys principles of continuous development.
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
• Minimum of a grade 12 education;
• B.Sc. Agriculture or Diploma in Agriculture;
• Must have a valid driver’s license;
• Minimum of 5 years breeding farm management experience (rearing and laying);
• Passionate, self-motivated and performance driven;
• Must be pro-active and be able to work accurately and independently;
• High level of computer literacy.
• Knowledge, understanding and application of labour regulations and legislation;
• Working hours are irregular and include weekend duties.
• Required to live on site;
• Must have high standards towards housekeeping and attention to detail;
• A team player with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of employees;
• Ability to achieve excellent performance under pressure
