TECHNICAL MANAGER: AGRONOMY
KAKAMAS AREA

Requirements:

• Minimum BSc Agric, but preferably an MSc in Agronomy, with at least 10 years of proven experience in providing agronomic technical support, preferably in vineyard farming and pecans.
• Technical knowledge of vineyard health, nutrition, and cultivars.
• Relevant knowledge of Gulf and Mottech irrigation computer systems.
• Excellent management, leadership, and research skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate and provide training to team members and management.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good computer skills with excellent Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Above-average problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.

Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for the advanced technical support of total vineyard units and pecan orchards’ irrigation, fertilization, and chemical management, including:

• Planning, scheduling, and applying irrigation in vineyards and orchards.
• Planning and applying fertilizers in vineyards and orchards.
• Planning and applying chemical sprays in vineyards and orchards.
• Developing and implementing technical training on relevant agronomic topics.
• Negotiating and liaising with external researchers regarding research projects.
• Attending expos, etc., to evaluate new technology.
• Maintaining accurate technical records.
• Project planning and management to achieve goals.
