An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a vibrant entertainment company’s finance team. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment and play a key part in managing crucial financial operations.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for the following:

Ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the accounts payable function.
Completing monthly reconciliations of creditor accounts within set deadlines.
Processing accruals for outstanding invoices at month-end to maintain accuracy.
Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to reduce lead times and ensure timely service delivery.
Processing inter-company invoices and accruals, ensuring deadlines are met.
Managing purchase orders, reviewing long-outstanding orders for validity.
Preparing payments and banking documentation with precision and on time.
Communicating all anticipated payments to the accountant for cash flow analysis and forecasting.
Maintaining up-to-date supplier banking details in the online banking profile.
Capturing fixed asset invoices accurately and ensuring compliance with the company’s fixed asset purchase policy.
Reviewing controlled stationery reconciliations and processing related journals within specified deadlines.
Promptly handling all insurance claims and ensuring that complete supporting documentation is submitted.
Reviewing petty cash reconciliations and general ledger accounts for necessary reallocations.
Identifying and reporting on any excessive spending or potential opportunities for cost savings.
Maintaining the supplier database and ensuring B-BBEE compliance, including compiling quarterly scorecard reports.
Strictly adhering to company policies and procedures.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Completed Matric
Completed Accounting Degree or Diploma
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position
