Employer: Persona Staff

Our client is a leading manufacturer of equipment used within the food manufacturing industry. They are currently seeking to employ an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman to join their team.

Duties:

Prepare detailed sheet metal drawings and develop flat patterns for laser cutting and bending, ensuring precision and efficiency.
Program and optimize bending sequences using specialized software for the AMADA bending machine.
Manage projects such as oven and bread slicer designs, ensuring all aspects meet quality and functionality standards.
Update and create accurate models and assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, ensuring all components align seamlessly.
Develop detailed layout drawings to support marketing and engineering teams, balancing aesthetics and technical requirements.
Produce precise machine drawings to provide engineers with comprehensive blueprints for fabrication and assembly.
Maintain and update cutting lists to ensure all components are prepared and aligned with project specifications.

Requirements:

Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transport for work-related travel.
Advanced skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Proficiency in creating laser cutting drawings and nesting to optimize material use and ensure precision.
A background in sheet metal fabrication, particularly in bending and assembly design, is essential.
