Job purpose statement:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Supervisor to coordinate and integrate construction activities on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction processes, ensuring compliance with project schedules, safety regulations, and quality standards in the Oil and Gas sector.

Key Performance Areas

• Project Delivery Management
• Oversee and coordinate construction activities according to approved project schedules
• Manage subcontractors and ensure contractual obligations are met
• Track and report project progress to Construction Manager
• Attend and participate in site progress meetings
• Quality and Compliance
• Implement and enforce Lesedi NS and Eskom SHEQ procedures
• Verify health and safety plans and ensure regulatory compliance
• Manage construction documentation and quality assurance processes
• Ensure materials are appropriately stored, handled, and installed
• Operational Integration
• Communicate with project stakeholders and subcontractors
• Manage site interfaces, permits to work, and shutdown requirements
• Facilitate seamless construction activities with minimal operational disruption
• Establish clear job descriptions and responsibilities for site personnel

Qualifications:

• Mandatory OHSACT and Construction Regulations training
• Eligible to become a PR CM (Senior Construction Superintendent)

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years on-site experience as a Construction Supervisor
• Practical on-site construction experience

Knowledge:

• Comprehensive understanding of South African building codes
• Thorough knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Proficient in project scheduling methodologies
• Well-versed in regulatory and safety governance

Skills:

• Computer literacy (Word, Excel)

• Technical competence in construction management
