The Education Coordinator’s role focuses on the education, training, and upskilling of people working in the club industry, ensuring that the education provided is relevant and up-to-date for the industry. Education is our clients' core objective; they need to achieve their goals and provide enhanced services to our members.
Membership
- Function as the liaison and contact for members regarding all education elements and maintain contact with members to ensure maximum member satisfaction.
- • Attend Monthly Managers Meetings.
- • Perform Skills Audits.
- • Recommend education and training as per the clients Training Guide.
- • Prepare Workplace Skills Plan [WSP] & Annual Training Reports [ATR] for clubs.
Education Programmes
- Develop the clients Annual Training Guide which incorporates all training offerings.
- Plan and execute monthly education.
- Focus training and relative education communication on all departments within the Club.
- Source facilitators, negotiate facilitator fees and contracts.
- Source and book venues.
- Record CPD’s for all educational offerings.
- Develop and maintain all education and training budgets whilst monitoring internal cost control procedures.
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies for all education offerings.
- Provide student support and encouragement
- Programmes & Education Partners
- Manage the relationships with the clients Education Partners.
- Administration of the annual CATHSSETA Grant Funding applications, registrations, and subsequent processes.
- Develop and manage local and international practical internships under a mentor.
Certified Club Manager [CCM] Programme
- Recertification process of current CCM’s
- Facilitate the 10 Week BMI Review programme and drive BMI students to reach completion and sit for their CCM exam.
- Manager in Development [MID] Programme
- Receive applications, registrations, and subsequent processes.
- Facilitate quarterly mentee welcome session and mid cycle webinars.
- Liase with Mentors
- Provide quarterly reports and feedback.
- BMI Programmes
- Receive applications, registrations, and subsequent processes.
- Facilitate two BMI programs annually.
- Online Platform
- Receive applications, registrations, and subsequent processes.
- Provide quarterly reports and feedback.
- Regional Workshops
- Plan and execute regional workshops.
- Weekly Webinars
- Plan, manager and execute.
- Facilitate the weekly online webinars.
- National Annual Conference
- Source education topics and speakers
HOURS OF WORK
The incumbent will be expected to be flexible and vary hours according to the workload.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30-16:30
- Able to travel to all regions to manage educational events.
Candidate Requirements
SKILL REQUIRED:
Minimum Requirements:
- Highly organised with an eye for attention to detail.
- A high level of computer literacy in the following software programmes:
- Excel
- Word
- Google Software
- Financial skills to develop and monitor budgets.
- Excellent customer service skill and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking skills and organisational skills.
- Driver’s license and own vehicle.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Strong Admin and Organisational Skills.
- Previous experience in Education or the Club Industry would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of the Club Industry i.e., operations, health, safety, and hygiene legislation compliance would be beneficial.
