The Business Assistant role is a critical to support function to the Founder.
Reporting to the Founder, you will have four areas of responsibility:
- Business administration
- Market Research
- Digital Marketing – strategy and implementation
- Candidate and Client support
On the business side, you will be responsible for the overall functioning of the business by implementing and improving business flows, processes, scheduling meetings, and general ad hoc business support to the Founder. There are several projects to execute throughout 2024/2025 (eg – new database and website). This will take 50% of your time.
In Research, you will perform extensive primary and secondary research to build a detailed understanding of the investment markets in South Africa. This includes identifying potential new clients, new markets, and a demand for value-add services. This will take 20% of your time.
You will also be responsible for marketing strategy, general brand promotion of Walker Phillip, editing and compiling job videos, and full responsibility for the website and social media. This includes developing and executing a digital media strategy. Approx 30% of your time.

Required Skills
- Business Administration: 1 to 2 years
Candidate Requirements
You must have outstanding spoken and written English, high attention to detail, able to work autonomously, and be customer focused. You must be serious about digital networking, personal brand building, and be able to think on your feet.
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified, some experience in conducting research assignments (of any nature), and highly competent in Microsoft programmes. You must be IT savvy.
