Job & Company Descriptions:
An entertainment company is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their dynamic finance team.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk you will responsible for the following:

Ensure the accounts payable function runs smoothly and efficiently.
Perform monthly reconciliations of all creditor accounts within set deadlines.
Process accruals for outstanding invoices at month-end.
Foster strong supplier relationships to reduce lead times and ensure timely service delivery.
Process intercompany invoices and accruals within established deadlines.
Manage purchase orders, including reviewing long-outstanding orders for validity.
Prepare payments and banking documentation accurately and on time.
Communicate all expected payments to the accountant for cash flow analysis and forecasting.
Maintain supplier banking details in the online banking profile.
Accurately capture fixed asset invoices and ensure all payments comply with the company’s fixed asset purchase policy.
Review controlled stationery reconciliations and process related journals within specified deadlines.
Handle all insurance claims promptly, ensuring complete supporting documentation is submitted.
Review petty cash reconciliations and GL accounts for necessary reallocations.
Identify and report any excessive spending or potential cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain the supplier database and certificates for B-BBEE compliance, including compiling quarterly scorecard reports.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Matric
Completed Accounting degree or diploma
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position
