We are seeking a motivated and skilled Trade Tested Electrical Engineer who has recently completed their trade. The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the heavy manufacturing and rail industry. This role is contract-based and offers an excellent opportunity to gain industry-specific experience, tackle challenging projects, and grow your technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on heavy machinery and rail systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Conduct routine inspections, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to execute engineering projects efficiently.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Assist in commissioning and testing of electrical systems in manufacturing and rail facilities.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Trade Tested Electrical Engineer certification (completed within the past [timeframe]).
Understanding of electrical systems in heavy manufacturing and/or rail environments.
Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
Basic knowledge of PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automation systems (advantageous).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic industrial environment.

Requirements:

Willingness to work on a contract basis.
Availability to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime, when required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Willingness to travel to various sites (if needed).
Physically fit to handle the demands of the job.

Must be :
South African
Clear ID and Crim
Trade Tested Electrician or Millwright
You will be tested for Alcohol, Drugs and Dagga as this is prohibited on this type of site work
