Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer (Technical Leader)

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (Technical Leader) to join our client’s team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced structural engineer to take on a leadership role within a dynamic and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex structural engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
• Design and analyze structural systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
• Oversee the preparation of structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control on-site.
• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Requirements:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng, BSc, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of successful project leadership.
• Professional registration with a recognized engineering body (e.g., ECSA).
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, or similar).
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in designing a variety of structural systems, including buildings, bridges, and infrastructure projects.
