We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Supervisor to join our clients production team. The Technical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of food manufacturing operations, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will have a strong background in food technology, quality assurance, and food safety.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance work.
• Ensure job cards issued are completed.
• Maintain effective turnaround time for corrective and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Ensure job cards are completed accurately.
• Manage and prioritize the worklist using available resources.
• Return and accurately complete maintenance check sheets.
• Respond effectively to unplanned maintenance and breakdowns.
• Report downtime details accurately.
• Deliver high-quality maintenance work.
• Keep maintenance areas neat and tidy at all times.
• Take ownership of the designated facility and ensure adherence to standards.
• Report deviations from policies and procedures.
• Be available for standby duties.
• Ensure area temperatures meet specifications.
• Supervise and manage a crew of maintenance staff.
• Foster a positive team attitude.
• Follow up on completed work.
• Ensure timekeeping of staff.

Qualifications:

Trade Tested Millright or Electrician
Minimum of 5 years of experience, post trade, in a technical role within the food manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience with HACCP, GMP, and other quality control systems
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
